Lumb Falls is an oasis within the Calder valley mentioned in The Guardian as Kate Rew discovers wild swims through out Britain.
Lumb Falls inspired Ted Hughes to write the poem “Six Young Men”. A chronicle of youth’s  fate during the first world war and the eternal properties of the earth mother. Lumb Falls is the point where seven streams converge to form a river the very earth is alive and rejuvenated, circular.
My title however is taken from an Elizabethan Round and speaks more of love than war
This drawing is extremely detailed and  the culmination of three years work.
